Pengfei Li got his Ph.D. in Environmental Psychology from The Graduate Center, City University of New York (CUNY). He has been teaching Social Science Methods, Urban History, and Urban Politics since 2011 in the CUNY system. At present, his research project focuses on urban governance and new urbanism, specifically on how the new urban environment and the development process influence urban dwellers’ daily lives. He has been publishing in urban studies and social science in general, including a comment letter “The housing glut in China” in The New York Times on April 6th, 2015, “The identity of Chinese public space from Ancient times to Contemporary Society: The sociology of public behaviors” in The Journal of the Scientific Society, and “Production, Governance, and Lived Experience in Suburbia” in The People, Place, and Space Reader. http://peopleplacespace.org/frr/production-governance-and-lived-experience-in-suburbia/
